Change at The Top for TAYBURN

Scottish brand and digital agency, Tayburn, has announced a change to its ownership and leadership structure following a management buyout and the retirement of its long-standing Finance Director

These developments see co-owners Simon Farrell, Malcolm Stewart and Richard Simpson become equal Partners, with Bill Davidson stepping down after nearly 30 years managing the agency’s finances.

Tayburn Partner, Malcolm Stewart, commented: “This announcement marks the culmination of a carefully planned transition that has seen Tayburn now come under full ownership of the executive team that runs the business.”

“We’ve refocused the business, building on our reputation for and ability to help brands tell their stories effectively, by continually strengthening our ability to do so digitally and by embracing the role technology plays.”

This focus has seen Tayburn win nine of its last 13 pitches picking up new accounts with a number of successful Edinburgh-based organisations such as Pagan Osborne, PURE Spa & Beauty, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Commercial Enterprises, Umega Lettings and Miller Developments.

The agency also picked up two Golds at the recent Marketing Society Star Awards, the largest marketing awards ceremony in Scotland, for their work with Crosse & Blackwell and The Black Wolf Brewery.

According to Stewart, Tayburn has kicked off this new financial year strongly and is on track to exceed its first quarter income target of £570,000, which is a 2.5% uplift on the previous year.

Tayburn’s other clients include Princes Food and Drink Group, Heineken, Toshiba and The Weir Group.
